Tehillim - Psalms 60:14
בֵּאלֹהִ֥ים נַֽעֲשֶׂה־חָ֑יִל וְ֝ה֗וּא יָב֥וּס צָרֵֽינוּ׃
With G-d's help we will become strong enough to overpower our enemies, and it is He Who will trample our enemies.
When we turn to G-d to help us unlearn our negative traits or transform them into good deeds, He will surely help us. When we turn to His Commandments and will do our mitzvot - as well as we can - He will help us to be able to do them just a little better than before. We ourselves cannot change our negative traits, only our will to want to change them will make Him trample them, by making our good traits grow.
