Permitted or Not?
Divine Code for September 5, 2022
Today: Pages 160-161
From topic 7:6 -- 7:7
It has been explained in Chapter 5 that it is forbidden for a person to make forms of humans or angels for decoration (with complete three-dimensional bodies and correct human features), or to preserve them.
However, if these forms are used for decoration, it is still permitted to benefit from them. But any form or image made for idol wordship is forbidden to gain any benefit from (as explained in topic 7:4). If forms or images of humans (or angels or any other creatures) are found, and it is unknown whether they were used for idol worship or just for decoration, one must decide according to the customs of the place and time. If it appears that these objects were probably used for idol worship, they are forbidden and if not, they are permitted.
