Only the Name of G-d
Divine Code for September 28, 2022
Today: Page 201
Topic 12:9 -- 12:11
"For then I [G-d] will turn the people to a pure language, so that alle will call upn the Name of G-d to serve Him with one purpose." Zephaniah 3:9
"G-d will be King over the entire earth; in that day G-d will be One and His Name One." Zechariah 14:9
In the perfect world - if people want/need to take vows, they will do so only in the Name of G-d.
In today's world, it is only permissible to take an oath in the Name of G-d and certainly the name of an idol may not be used.
It is also not permitted to use the name of an intermediary together with the Name of G-d.
Although it is not recommended, because it is a mistake to believe in an intermediary and this belief is not true, it is not forbidden to include the intermediary in one's thoughts during a vow.
