I Don't Want to Put Meself With You

By Rabbi Michael Skobac

“Josef said to the wife of Potiphar who was trying to seduce him: How can I do this great evil and sin against G-d?” (Genesis 39:9).

Since she'd be cheating on her husband and committing the sin of adultery, Josef should have said: How could we do this great evil and sin against G-d?

Rabbi Simcha Bunim of Peshischa answered that Josef didn't want to put himself together with her at all - even in mere speech.
