Is There A Pillar Used Today?
Divine Code for September 2, 2022

Topic 6:4 -- 6:6
On the 31st of August we learned that it is forbidden to erect a pillar for worship. It does not matter if that worship is for an idol or for G-d. After G-d saw that people started using pillars to worship idols, He became displeased with this way of worship.
The prohibition against worshipping G-d at a pillar is also because there is a chance that over time people will begin to attribute "holiness" to the pillar itself.
A contemporary example of such a pillar is the Ka'aba stone in Mecca. Besides the prohibition of using a pillar for worship, this is also a pillar, custom and practice that arose after Sinai. Because of this, this custom also falls under the prohibition of making a new religion.
