Go to Yourself

"Hashem said to Abram: Go from your country, and from your family and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you" (Genesis 12:1).

G-d's directive here, 'Lech Lecha' literally means GO TO YOURSELF. According to R' Shmuel of Sochatchov, this was not just meant for Abram, but is relevant to all people. We are each being told: Leave your status quo and embark on a spiritual journey seeking G-d and your authentic self. Take the path that is appropriate for YOU. Lech Lecha...Go to yourself, to who you are and who you are meant to become.
