From the Deepest Pits comes Elevation
For December 12, 2022
Tehillim, Psalms 88:7
שַׁ֭תַּנִי בְּב֣וֹר תַּחְתִּיּ֑וֹת בְּ֝מַחֲשַׁכִּ֗ים בִּמְצֹלֽוֹת׃
"You have place me in this exile, which is like the lowest of pits; You have placed me in dark places, overcome with troubles as if I were in the depts of the seas."
When the soul descends, goes into exile, into this material lowest world, Hashem promises the soul that in the merit of descending into this world and fulfilling the commandments (for Noahides, the 7 laws of Noah) it will be shown the essence of Hashem and it will be possible for the soul to attach itself to it.
For although this material world seems dark to us, for lack of our view of the light of Torah, and the challenges, the problems [health, income, a place to live, peace or war] can consume us completely, we know that if we keep the commandments and if we read Torah we connect with the light, and that light becomes more and more visible in our lives.
The soul will see the promise made to it fulfilled the moment it discovers that all HaShem wants is a relationship with us humans. That every challenge of this life is for us to cling to Him more and more, to put our trust in Him despite sometimes situations that seem unsolvable.
The moment this light is present in our hearts, it will radiate to those around us, people will become curious and their souls will also want to connect with HaShem.
The moment we use the material world for the spiritual we elevate our soul and our world to a higher level
