Deuteronomy 6 - The Lord Our God is One
Daily Verse for August 12th 2022
Verse 4:
שְׁמַ֖ע יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל יי אֱ"לֹהֵ֖ינוּ יי ׀ אֶחָֽד׃
"Hear, O Israel! HaShem is our G-d, HaShem alone."
It is the nation of Israel who have heard and listened to the Eternal One throughout the ages. The nations went their own ways without G-d and they did not hear.
Today we see this changing and more and more Noahides proclaiming together with the people of Israel that G-d is One.
This is the beginning of the fulfillment of Zeph's prophecy. 3:9
"For then I will convert the peoples to a pure language that all of them call in the name of the L-rd."
And it is [also] said, "On that day the L-rd will be One and His name One".
(Zech. 14:9)
Because we too are listening to the Eternal One, we want to observe the 7 Noahide Commandments with all our heart with all our soul and with all our strength in love and not out of fear.
