The Burning Bush
"An angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from within the thorn bush, and behold, the thorn bush was burning with fire, but the thorn bush was not being consumed."
Why was the bush not being consumed from burning with fire?
Like the Chanukah Candles which burned for 8 days without being consumed. The light created on the first day (Gen 1:3) And God said, "Let there be light, and there was light" is the light for those who choose to brighten their days with the light of Torah, Jews and Bnei Noah, and therefore they too will not be consumed when the Great Light will shine.
As our Sages, of blessed memory, have said (Tractate Nedarim 8b), “In the time to come (i.e., in the Messianic Era), the Holy One, blessed be He, will take out the sun from its sheath; the wicked will be punished by it...,” as they will be unable to bear the intensity of the sun. The passage goes on to say that the righteous will not only be able to tolerate it: they will actually be healed by it.
